ISSUE III; July, 2013; Open Issue
We are delighted to announce the call for papers for the third issue of eDhvani, estimated to be published in July 2013. As many of you are aware, the first issue was on “Narration, Narrative and Narrator” while the second one was on “Cinema, India and Beyond”. The next volume, however, is not limited to any specific topic. Papers are called to from any significant areas of Comparative Literature, Indian Literature, Translation and Cultural Studies. Papers written on the current approaches and new perspectives will be accorded preference. Mere comparison between texts will not be entertained whereas analysis of core areas of Comparative Literature and Theory will be appreciated. A rich plethora of literary texts that have acquired cultural significance and meaning in different regional Indian cultures are available. Papers written on marginal and/or endangered Indian Literature, oral, folk culture and on Indian Tribal Literature will naturally be preferred, as research work on the comparative study of Indian literary movements and history of translation in Indian literatures are few and far between. eDhvani hopes to contribute in bridging these gaps.
